Habit: A clump forming perennial 20 to 30Ó tall, not to be confused with its related biennial cousin Black Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta).  This plant blooms profusely from Late July to September filling the garden and meadow will color.  A valuable component in any meadow planting it provides nectar for insects and seed heads for birds. Easy to grow and naturalize from seed or division.
